REPERTOIRE
Marene's voice has been described by several people as silvery, sparkling, creamy, flexible and round. But also as robust and colorful. Her dramatic coloratura voice has an easy height, but also a full middle and strong lower register present. Together they form three full octaves from E3 until F6 (European: E below central C and F3 of the Königin).
Marene holds great importance to being engaged in the substance of text and historical context. She constantly works to broaden her repertoire. After Fiordiligi, Queen of the Night and Konstanze, she is captivated by the beautiful roles of Ann Trulove, Vitellia, Pat Nixon and Agathe. But also by Scandinavian works of Nystroem (Sånger vid Havet) and Sallinen (the Dream Songs).
